Accidents, Near Miss Incidents
& Risk Assessment
Risk is inherent to the laboratory environment, and without regular assessment these risks have an increased potential to cause injury, illness and/or damage to equipment, buildings, or ecosystems. If and when these events occur open discussion and review can identify adjustments needed to safety practices, preventing future accidents and injuries.
In this first Safety Theory workshop participants will analyze accidents and near miss incidents while participating in a short primer on risk assessment strategies for the lab. Lunch will be provided.
